Food Hygiene
Applications to be done for protection from environments, which may endanger health and cleaning measures taken, are defined as hygiene.

Food hygiene is defined as making proper preparations and taking measures in production, processing, storage and delivery stages so that the foods become harmless for human health and reliable.

Public and individual health is affected in conditions lacking food hygiene.
Food related illnesses cause problems, which usually initiate with digestive system disorders, abdomen ache, diarrhea, fever or vomiting. Those problems, while some of them can be eliminated in a few hours or days, some can cause fatal results.

Microbial infections formed during food processing, storage and in delivery chain, cause losses of products and consequently to the economy, besides health risks. Besides those product losses, when labor losses and treatment costs caused by the illnesses occurring are considered, the economical dimensions of the subject can be better understood.

In healthy and high quality food production, the environment and the employees must be clean and healthy. Efficient cleaning and disinfection works to be carried out in the facilities, are of very high importance for the prevention of infections by microorganisms, their spread and negative impacts.
The food sector, which is of very high importance for our country's economy, is quickly growing with technological innovations and it attaches even more importance to consumer and public health, with the adaptation with the EU laws and recently enforced food law.
